I'm not at all sad about it and never have cared much about that particular "tradition". If somebody with money was passionate about it, it would be done by now.

Something is up. This is too easy to make happen unless there is some animal rights group out there demanding we don't get another dog. Maybe LG just has more important things to consider at this point and refuses to delegate and risk the bad pub.

"We're facing some difficulty procuring Tech XXII unlike every single other NCAA team with a bulldog, but rest assured, this ancient tradition will not fall by the wayside despite the interference of our meddling AD."

We made it! 1 year of no live mascot. Congrats Louisana Tech.

I think qng must be a Martian.

I knew a guy who knew a guy who had a great grandfather that was pulled out of a burning building at Tech in 1899; said it was an American Bulldog.

One year later, our president has finally issued a coherent response saying he will have an update "soon."
