Louisiana Tech brought home its second trophy of the year on Friday afternoon as the Bulldogs pulled away from Fort Wayne in the final minutes to claim an 85-76 victory and the inaugural New Orleans Shootout championship at the Xavier Convocation Center.

Not bad against a team that recently beat Indiana by 20 points. As long as our players give full effort and support one another we'll be fine. I think we got better since before this tournament.

Agreed. Team chemistry seems to be better, and the confidence of some of our underclassmen can only be improving.

Playing with 4 frosh on the floor those two games
Opening stretch in conference will be tough with Western and Marshall
But I think they will be fine

Started out the year being VERY optimistic and hopeful for a really memorable great year. I've scratched my head a lot recently. Not sure if it has been some selfish play (when you leave your team as a started in the middle of the season it is selfish play) or just what. For the most part, I've wondered why Harris was on the floor at key times because I NEVER would think he could be counted on for a big shot. Perhaps this is addition by subtraction. We shall see soon! I've seen some great promise with our young players!

We're soon to find out if Powell's unexpected offensive output was an anomaly. If he can consistently score from the post against conference foes, it changes the complexion of our team.
