A 33-year-old man was shot
during a domestic dispute on
Thursday. According to Sheriff
Larry Rowe, “on July 28, 2022, the
Cass County Sheriff ’s Office was
dispatched to a home in the Bivins,
Texas community. The caller advised
that Roosevelt Falls, age 33yrs,
was there in violation of a protective
order and that she was hiding in the
bathroom with her children. The
caller also advised that her mother
was outside talking to Falls.”
Soon after it was reported that
Falls had been shot. “While en
route to the location, the Cass
County Sheriff ’s Office received
multiple 911 calls advising that a
man had been shot at that same
address. Upon arrival, deputies
discovered that Roosevelt Falls had
received a fatal gunshot wounds to
the chest.”
On Falls’s social media page before
the incident, he said he was
trying to recruit people to go out
to the residence with him. In his
post, he said, “I need 2 more people
to help me collect my wife and 3
kids... I have state legal paperwork
with jurisdiction over Cass County
who refuse to execute (an) outstanding
warrant, therefore would
like to have at least 3 witnesses with
me.”
What is unclear however is what
happened between the 911 calls. It
has also been yet to be determined
the legitimacy of the paperwork
Falls claimed to have. “At this time,
the case is still under investigation
by the Cass County Sheriff ’s Office,
and no arrests have been made,”
said Rowe.
Yikes
Wow this is a horrible story.
Domestic issues never end well especially when children are involved.
