Louisiana Tech senior wide receiver Teddy Veal has been named to the 2018 Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List, it was announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., on Thursday.

Of course Veal was out with a leg injury this spring, but he has pronounced himself "100% healthy" for Sept 1st.

Tarzan will also be healthy then for the first time since coming to Tech and we may also get our first look in Sept at the two summer arrivals Baldwin (6-2 245 MLB) and Henderson (5-10 220 RB).

Tech has two of the top 5 returning WRs in C-USA.

So UNT has the #1 QB and the #1 WR returning for this season. And, they are picked to win the West, again.

Talk about a school that's over-hyped.....UNT was blown out in their last two games last year, to FAU (CUSA championship) and Troy (NO Bowl), and now everybody's still predicting UNT to win the west. It's truly embarrassing. Blake Baker better figure out a way to get Jaylon Ferguson in Mason Fine's face and on his back.

I still can't believe Skip Holtz let UNT beat us in Ruston last year 24-23. IMO, that was a new all-time low for Holtz. No wait, maybe it was Southern Miss' 11 point comeback win in the last 1:30 that was a new all-time low for Holtz. No wait.....maybe it was the MSU game, where LA Tech gave up an 86-yd loss from our line of scrimmage to become the laughing stock of America for a few weeks. No wait......well you get the picture. :icon_roll:

Anyway, last season's UNT defense had more holes that Swiss cheese. Evangel Christian Academy could have moved the ball against UNT better than we did that day. And I suspect UNT's defense won't be much improved this season either. Thus, I truly believe this is a make it or break it year for Skip Holtz. Another year with as many major disappointments as we had last year, and Holtz will have to leave. He's killing the excitement in the stadium with all these bonehead losses.

And HogDawg, you will see the attendance drop this year, with memories of 2017 and our lackluster home schedule.

Home games, Southern, UAB-will they won't they have football, UTEP - universally -totally-exerable - pestilient-football,Rice -to smart for football , and WKY the blob returns on 11/24 .
That set of teams will sell tickets to casual fans! If we lose at North Texas it will be ugly at the Joe. Parking will not be a problem.

I love tech and have been going to games since 1965 and will be at 10 of the 12 regular season games .
