The RDL front page on Sunday said that Tech was awarder $50 million from the state. The RDL website hasnt updated yet, but the article had all the details. $25 million was for the research park. The rest of the money was divided into a lot of things including the new reservoir, pay raises, etc...

This is huge news. The campus will really be changed. The only thing left after all of this and the new Intramural Complex is to take care of those dorms.
In my head I can picture all of these changes and the campus would really be fantastic.

The $50 MM in self-generated funds mentioned in the article will address the dorms and recreational facilities. Our campus will look significantly different within 2-5 years. It will take time to plan and construct the new Business building and the old dorms will be systematically removed. The rec complex and dorm construction will begin immediately. The block across from Nethken Hall that was purchased this past year is now being demolished (all the buildings are currently being gutted).
Fantastic news! Hats off to Reneau and the many who were involved. Reneau really cares about Tech. Hope one day we'll name a huge engineering building after him.
