CUSA is an awesome conference...you read it here first. Oh wait, this just says everyone sucks except the SEC.
Except, it's kind of hard to come to grips on CUSA's OOC record this year, and most every year. Lost track but the league was something like 9-30 and only 1-19 vs. P5s. So, if CUSA is just as good as every other conference why aren't we at .500 or so in our non-conference games? Just asking.

No, but if we didn't beat Arkansas this year, we would have been one of the few. Skip has never had any incentive or motivation to win those games. We would have been fine this year- other than the 2 games we "blew".

We're just as good as every other conference, if by that you mean "the worst major conference."
Re: UTSA @ Louisiana Tech - 11/30 @ 2:30
Missing one detail. You can’t really speculate about how competitive we would be in the SEC without considering the SEC money we would receive just for being one of the chosen. More money for coaches, facilities, and recruiting. Ruston and Tech would have as much to offer as Starkvegas or Oxford with the benefit of several extra million$

That was my "if" that got the nuts and wings conversation going. :) I do think it is unrealistic to expect to beat these teams with one armed tied behind our backs (no money, no exposure, small fan base, weakish facilities, bad conference, small budget for coaching staff, and on and on... ). It's a small miracle when we occasionally beat one of these teams. (Balboa vs Creed type miracle).

My bad. Read your comment, but it didn’t register for some reason.

I just thought of a stat that I wanted to share with y'all.
Holtz is 25-5 in CUSA games with a Senior starting QB.
Holtz is 12-14 in CUSA games with a non-Senior starting QB.
My advice: take off the next 2 years then come back when Aaron Allen is a Senior. :)

Save me a lookup.
We only won 12 C-USA games in 2013, 2017, and 2018?

I actually agree with every word of that. I'm just hoping lightening doesn't strike me.

So true. Yet I tend to believe we are currently equal trash if not more trash than ULL. At least they are playing in their CCG and have a more appealing head coach. I expect if we played their schedule then we would be very fortunate to have achieved 10-2 especially considering our recent player suspensions and wishy-washy coaching philosophy that regularly costs us a win or two each year. Tough to believe we beat Miss St week 1 or App St. It would not be a stretch to believe ULL could have achieved 10-2 playing our schedule.
