Re: Future Non-Conference Schedules
We are doing "all or nothing" scheduling.

If we alternated 7 home games and 5 home games like we are with 2017 all the time, it'd be annoying (in the 5 years) but would still average out over time to 6.
But we mix in more years with 5 than we do with 7.
Re: Future Non-Conference Schedules
Ideal sked (for me)
Home FCS
Home AAC/midtier G5 (part of home/home)
Road AAC/midtier G5 (part of home/home)
Road $ game

That's the dream. Just settle into that pattern every year.

Except two money games per year only allows it every other year. Right Champ967?:icon_razz:

If we stipulate 2 money games per year, then I'd rather drop the FCS.

I figured you for that, but it still gives us the problem of a 5 home, 6 home, 5 home.

I can live with that. Seriously.
11 home games every 2 years is acceptable, so long as the goal in the intermediate term (say, 5-10 years) is 6 home games (and not more than one money game) each year.
I maintain that FCS games are bad for the sport. I believe they are (with some notable exceptions) usually bad, boring football.

Certainly not good football to watch, but a little better than the Spring game.
Is there another FBS school that passes on playing FCS games for the auto win? Not sure being the trend setter every other year would be wise, but losing that game in 2014 didn't really matter other than losing cred in NW La..
Re: Future Non-Conference Schedules
If we could get down to 1 money game, then the difference in budget could/should be offset by going bowling!
I agree with Sportsdog's model!

Gotta have to $1M plus in the budget for now unless our AD can offset that $1M plus with funds raised.
DFIH, you know we don't make money off bowl games right?
Re: Future Non-Conference Schedules
do we know who the FCS team is going to be next season?
