Missouri Valley discussion
Assuming Creighton leaves for the Big East...
- Denver and Belmont appear to be the frontrunners to replace Creighton.
- Loyola (Chicago) would get consideration.
- Oral Roberts would be a long shot.

Re: Missouri Valley discussion
MVC officials plan to visit Valpo, UIC, Loyola (Chicago), and UMKC.

Re: Missouri Valley discussion
I'd go with Valpo, I think. ... imo, Denver has weak fan support.
Re: Missouri Valley discussion
I would lean toward UMKC.
Re: Missouri Valley discussion
I would lean Duke. Travel costs are higher but it is worth it for a program of that quality.
Re: Missouri Valley discussion
UIC from the Horizon to the Valley per Green Bay Press-Gazette writer:

It doesn't surprise me that the Valley went for the Chicago market. Apparently their hope is to open up Chicago to MVC recruiting. The Valley is made up of a bunch of small towns.
The MVC may target Loyola and Valpo, too.
Re: Missouri Valley discussion
It is being reported that Loyola (Chicago) will be Creighton's replacement, not UIC.

Re: Missouri Valley discussion
Tulane would be a nice fit for the Missouri Valley Conference. They fit that "metro" profile nicely, and the Green Wave could probably build a very nice basketball program if they weren't wasting so many resources on a losing football program.
Re: Missouri Valley discussion
Loyola (Chicago) officially accepts the MVC invitation.

Re: Missouri Valley discussion
Loyola is a good fit. I think UIC would do well also.
