Do they not know what they say?
Quote:
Sandra Woodley, University of Louisiana System president, said the board could not enforce what outside entities call universities. “We do ask that the president and the institution do adhere to the board policy and think for the most part they do.”Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson had a similar stance on the situation.
Quote:
“The Sun Belt Conference and its conference office staff should refer to each of our universities as they wish to be referred,” Benson said. “It isn’t my responsibility to enforce or police any state guidelines.
Adoy.
Nice closing statement Dawgpix.

The comments from the uslull peanut gallery is so insecure-sounding.
Re: News-Star: 'ULL branding practice of losing 'Lafayette' violates law, creates fal
The ULL Athletics Media Relations department directly and routinely violates Board policy in official university releases. When there are no consequences, the ULS Board of Supervisors has lost its legitimacy as a governing body.
If all the Board can do is "ask that the president and the institution do adhere to the board policy", then the ULS Board serves no useful purpose and should be abolished. Funding wasted to operate the board would be better spent directly by system universities.

It was the arrogant/blatant comments by their SID that finally crossed the official line, and they're about to get slapped down as I predicted when he put out that sarcastic ES-Bristol3.com crap...

That's all I saw. Did they actually have "UL" or "Louisiana" in the first half?

Keep it up boys.
Confusion defeats the uslull campaign.

Don't forget the academic side. They've been deleting the "at Lafayette" all over campus.
Also can't help but shake my head with their implication that sports is totally separate from the university so can do what it wants.

I think ESPN will continue to call ULL whatever they want regardless of the Cajuns wishes
