"It's not as simple as just going out and finding a bulldog and bringing it onto campus," Guice said.

Actually it's pretty simple. Other schools with similar mascot have acquired a replacement in way shorter time!

LSU replaced a friggin tiger quicker than us replacing a dog.

So many excuses in there.

SGA has no business being involved with this process. It's too important.

They also considered doing away with having a live mascot?

I'm not opposed to discontinuing having a live mascot considering how inept we have been at running the program. Maybe we could change our name to the Pines or something like that.:D

The SGA had a vote on it! It was in the other thread. So the SGA president, or whoever, acted like they had saved the day by voting to keep it. THEY CALLED THE VOTE TO BEGIN WITH.

I'll say it again. The SGA has NO BUSINESS making this kind of decision. If they wanna find the actual dog, or do some kind of coordination, that's fine, as long as it gets done.

Why couldn't we farm that out to a non-profit or something like that, could that be done? We could get the administrations wheels and gears out of the process and actually get something done in a timely manner.

Not sure if that is even possible, but it's a thought.

Other schools have a friggin Longhorn, Bison, tiger, or bear. If we can’t handle a dog, we just need to fold it up and go home. This should have been done 2 weeks after the last one was lost.
