Went to jr high, high school, and college with him. Fantastic guy. Very upset. He has a beautiful family with three babies.
I knew him at Tech. Great guy. We're praying for his family.
God, please comfort and wrap Your arms around the Pine family...the Tech family mourns with them.
Folks are so strung out on pills, crack, and whatever...the world is just more and more dangerous. Reading that story makes me want to find a deputy or first responder and just say THANK YOU.
Donations can be made at any Orlando Federal Credit Union branch for the Deputy Jonathan Scott Pine Memorial Fund.
My heart goes out to his family. In my five years of Law enforcement,it was my wife's biggest fear.
I had no idea that his wife was a woman who grew up down the street from me. She used to live next door to one of my best friend's growing up. We went to high school together, and she went to Tech. I am praying for Bridget and the children.
From what I understand, Pine was in banking for a while and didnt like it. He wanted to serve the community, he tried the FBI, but it didnt work out. So, he decided to become a police officer. His courage and service will not be forgotten.
