Re: 11/18 MBB vs Montana State
Need to stop them here and get a bucket.
Re: 11/18 MBB vs Montana State
Could of been a very close game if they had Tyler Hall. This is a tough team.
Bulldog win!
71-58 Tech
Re: 11/18 MBB vs Montana State
Good defensive game, missed a lot of "bunnies" and could of shot the FTs a little better
Real close to a 20pt plus win if Bracey doesn't twist his ankle
Got lots of production from Jean and Powell tonight and Duruji is something to watch

It is easy to see why Duruji is getting PT as a freshman. His defensive and leaping abilities are off the charts.

Yep. We lucked out tonight with Tyler Hall being out from twisting his ankle on Wednesday. He's the #11 NBA Draft prospect outside of the Cartel, per Draft Express. (Boykins is neither ranked nor honorable mention, per Draft Express.) This was Hall's first and only missed start of his career. I imagine the NBA scouts were wanting to see Boykins and Hall matched up against either tonight. Hopefully he recovers quickly and leads Montana State to a Big Sky championship.

Re: 11/18 MBB vs Montana State
Most important stat: 3-0
Tech's defense was 100x better tonight, but keep in mind this was MSU's first game to play without their superstar in 3 years. Compared to last season, our defensive efficiency rating tonight (84.8) would rank #10 out of the 31 DI games we played last year.
Defensive rebounding is still a problem. Still letting opposing offense to grab >30% rebounds when we are on defense. We only got 4 total defensive rebounds from our starting 4 and 5 positions combined (and only 4 total points too).
On offense it was kinda rough compared to our previous games, but we found a way to get to the FT line to get free points.
Good to see Boykins get some confidence going into Cancun Challenge. Two big games up next.

I agree! Very impressed by that young man!
Re: 11/18 MBB vs Montana State
KenPom has an algorithm to calculate luck. After winning by 1 in OT and catching Montana State without their superstar, Tech ranks #6 in the nation in luck! Maybe this is our season! :)

We've certainly seemed to have a more than fair share of bad luck over the last few years!

He's a beast. The game he was injured on, he dropped 7 of 8 three's and ended the night with 32pts. He's good.
Montana State will do well and this game win will look good on our resume.

Last season was our unluckiest season since KP started tracking it, and Marshall just drained another 3... :((
