Why don't we rotate between Northwestern St, Grambling, and Southern? They would provide good attendance.

NSU and Southern did not the second time.
We should be trying to fill the stands with our own fans, not depending on the fans from other schools and their band. This ain't the SLC and/or high school.

I disagree. The novelty wears off quickly with those game. There was a 5000 drop in announced attendance for 2nd southern game and about 2000 drop for 2nd NSU game. Grambling had "announced" 23174, but we no there was no where close to that.
We typically average an announced 20000 for FCS games. We can rotate NSU, GSU & SU every few years, but throw in UCA, SFA, etc.
y1 Southern
y2 UCA
y3 SE LA
y4 NW LA
y5 SE LA
y6 SFA
Y7 Grambling
y8 Nicholls
y9 Lamar
y10 Southern
and so on

this...
First or second week of the season play LaMon or LaLaff and mix those two in with FCS if we must. Our fans will turn out for both those games in Ruston and the away games are not too far to travel to.
Year 1 - @ LaLaff with FCS in Ruston
Year 2 - LaMon in Ruston (No FCS)
Year 3 - LaLaff in Ruston (No FCS)
Year 4 - @ LaMon with FCS in Ruston
This gives us a 5th home game every year. Hopefully our AD's wheeling and dealing with the G5s and 2 for 1s will begin to pay off and give us the needed 6th home.
The FCS warm up each year is a bad deal for us.
Re: LA Tech Football Announces Future FCS Opponents - latechsports.com
Can we call up our former WAC buddies Fresno State or Nevada to do a home-home? Those games were fun. I would say hit up Boise State, but their schedule looks full including home-home of CUSA schools of Marshall, UTEP, Rice.

... Houston, Memphis, Tulane ...

This season, 109 FBS teams played FCS teams. 5 of those teams (Army, East Carolina, Florida, Liberty, and Virginia Tech) played 2 FCS teams. Only 21 teams did not play an FCS team, and only 5 of those were G5 teams. Most of the teams that didn't play an FCS team were Big 10 teams were temporarily banned from scheduling them.

We could just join the SLC or the SWAC then we can play them every year.

I realize everybody else does it. Most of them (even ulm)does it well. We seem to struggle. Good grief we got stuck with an afternoon game against a SWAC team because somebody thought it was a big deal for Tech to play Grambling in football. We are not in the SLC!
