Great game by Gipson. Probably could have finished for the complete game, but good to get another guy an inning. Best of all, save Crigger for Tuesday. Hopefully we won't need him tomorrow.

Young had a golden glove type of game, Elliott had a much need good game at the plate, Cade pitched solidly and all hail Steele for finally hitting a ball.

Gibson will be the Saturday starter in Hattiesburg. That much we do know after today.
Nice crowds for both Friday and Saturday games.
Concessions continue to be a FAILURE. Aramark is totally inept. Being "too busy" is not a problem.
The better teams in the conference have all won both games 1 and 2 (other than ODU). I always think a the third game in a sweep as gravy. Today we need it just to keep up. Hope our pitcher can make it through 5 today. We have plenty of backup.
I had a sausage dog Friday night and I swear the bun was as hard as a cracker. You could thump it with your finger and particles of bread would fly off.
Tech’s ability to broadcast a game on CUSA-TV continues to be a sub-par production. This weekend’s broadcast has been especially rough with frequent interruptions where it goes to a black-screen. There is static noise in the the background of Dave Nitz’s world-class play-by-play.
I can understand we shouldn’t expect professional level footage that can track the baseball when hit or quickly jump to different camera angles to better show the happening in real time, but the blackout think gets old really quick.
Whorff does get the start today, but I imagine he is on the shortest leash that Burroughs owns. Corona is DH with Hasler catching.
