I've wondered the same thing.
Didn't see any Techsters on the lead-in to the selection show either. Does anyone have that idiot guy's name and where to email him? He mentioned more than once that you can't have an NCAA tournament without Tennessee because they have been to all 23 of them. I'm sure he doesn't know that the little school from the little town in Louisiana has too. I would like to inform him of that.
When you think of college womens hoops you think of Tenn and Tech. ESPN shows us no love...charlie creme, the selection committee, the sports anchors, etc all can suck it.
Its rediculous. I would love to see Erica and Amisha on that commercial palming the balls with their arms out, looking up into the light.
How tight would that be.
What more can we do?
The only one that surprises me is Texas Tech. The rest are first seeds (the usual teams used in advertising the tournament) and the defending champ.
We also didn't play on ESPN this year.
Oh yeah.
Guys, let's win something besides the WAC title, and THEN we can gripe and complain about being ignored. Until then, there's nothing special about the Lady Techsters, a 5th seed team.
The Lady Techsters desperately need another Final Four appearance this year. Nothing less than a Final Four appearance will do. Nobody pays attention to the Elite 8 and the Sweet 16 in women's basketball.
