Notice he didn't say "football" conference.

What else was he supposed to say? It's not like he can release a statement that says "sorry folks, but we're completely screwed".

I agree. I was simply voicing what everyone who reads that will think. Personally, I would have waited until after the official announcements to say anything at all...but what do I know.

I know. I thought the same thing you did when I read the press release for the first time.

There's not a lot of conference gear except for championship shirts. No one really wears conference merchandise.

That is a WAC statement...

I'd hate to have that guy's job....Looks like you can go ahead and change his title "Interim Commissioner" to "Last Commissioner".
