The UNO coach who arguably made the stupidest decision in the NCAA Tourney in UNO's loss to 16 seed Mount St. Mary's in the play-in game won Louisiana Coach of the Year. That may have been the worst late game management I've ever seen.

IIRC after leading most of the game, UNO was down 1 with a little over 30 seconds left, and instead of fouling, UNO let Mount St. Mary's run the clock down to just a few seconds before shooting. Mount St. Mary's missed the shot, and UNO got the rebound. But there was only 2 seconds left. UNO couldn't advance it and had to go the full length of the court in 2 seconds down 1. UNO had to make a full court pass and of course couldn't complete the long pass much less get a shot off. Worst late game management I've ever seen.Quote:
