Re: M. Basketball. Bulldogs Host Travel Partner Golden Eagles in White Out Game
I don't recognize this Tech team tonight.
Up 57-27 at the half.
Re: M. Basketball. Bulldogs Host Travel Partner Golden Eagles in White Out Game
Looking more like ourselves the last few minutes
Re: M. Basketball. Bulldogs Host Travel Partner Golden Eagles in White Out Game
Nice win! Puts us in a tie for 7th place. Not to mention we are on a three game winning streak, with three very winnable games upcoming.
Re: M. Basketball. Bulldogs Host Travel Partner Golden Eagles in White Out Game
Nice win over #232 USM! Up next: #251 FAU!

The "sponser"?
The AD and his boy Marco screwed this up just like they always have and just like I told you they would. News flash... they will do it again and we won't break 1500 for the rest of the year.

Yes, the sponsor. The sponsor who's name is on the shirt. Pierry. Im not saying it ISNT the Athletic Department's fault. But the SPONSOR has to SPONSOR more shirts, whether it be by the AD's order or their own.
M. Basketball. Bulldogs Scorch Nets in 89-66 Win
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
Last season inside the Thomas Assembly Center, Louisiana Tech hit 14 three-pointers in a blowout win over Southern Miss.
Discuss it here.

"How many shirts are you paying for?"
"500."
"The contract says 1500. Get 1000 more or we'll find someone who will."

Hey, UCF won a national championship in football with wins over #'s 116, 128, 129, 135 and 160 and only one win in the top 30. Let's see how our season and CUSA tourney plays out.

Tourney is all that matters.
But I am afraid of building false confidence with "dominating wins" over low-ranked opponents. This has gotten us into trouble before.
That said, shooting 70% (?) in the first half is excellent regardless of opponent, and difficult to do against any level of competition. Sort of like going 13-0 in football.
Re: M. Basketball. Bulldogs Host Travel Partner Golden Eagles in White Out Game
Our defense vs USM was stifling. They just could not get a shot off without a Tech player in their face. That incredible defense led to transition offense and very confident 3 pointers on the other end.
THAT was Louisiana Tech basketball!
It was also very nice to see Randy White and teammates being honored at halftime.

This! It was nice seeing the team play like what we were used to a couple of years ago. We lightened up at the half, but almost every team would do that. The question is if we can do that on the road. We shall find out soon! It was Southern Miss and they are not so good this year, but were ahead of us in the standings. GO DAWGS!!!!

Really daunting slate! Until we start scheduling games against VCU, Creighton, and Wich St, those numbers don’t matter. Have to win conference if you aren’t going to play good teams. Only thing that matters is W’s.
Re: M. Basketball. Bulldogs Host Travel Partner Golden Eagles in White Out Game
These games do matter. I hate hearing that. There is more to college basketball than getting into the tournament. Yea, that's the ultimate goal. And at this point, we ain't in unless we win conference tournament. But these games do matter!

To who?
I'm not necessarily disagreeing.
I want to win games, of course. So in that sense, they matter.
What else is there beyond the tournament?
Having entertaining games? I'll grant that. Is beating up bad teams entertainment these days? Maybe it's all we can get, I guess.
