Best college football team in Louisiana just took a bus up north!
Wow! The refs sure can decide the outcome of games. 4th quarter, that receiver was out of bounds and we got a first down that was over turned. If we didn’t spot them 14 early and the horrible calls in the 4th quarter, our Dawgs would have won. Positives from the game are we held our own on both sides of the line. Jmar looked good and the receivers were catching them (except for the bullets!). Running game was good too. I am proud of my Dawgs! Might have to show up for the unt game next week. From what I saw last night, I am very excited for the rest of our season.

Good attitude to have!
Yep, if a focused, ready-to-play Tech team shows up in Denton....the Mean Green is going down!
Re: Best college football team in Louisiana just took a bus up north!
If the run defense improves, this may be a very good season.
Re: Best college football team in Louisiana just took a bus up north!
IF Holtz and his coaching staff approach the UNT game with the intent to destroy them from start to finish then Tech probably barely manages to prevail in a victory. IF Tech show up following Holtz’s most familiar recipe of playing a game, go at it conservatively, don’t risk much, wait and hope your opponent makes more mistakes than your team does, keep it close and win it late, we probably won’t.
The players have the capability to win but only if they’re unbridled. When you start the game being held back it’s really tough to snap out of it until you look up and you’re three scores behind.
Turn the Dawgs loose for a change and let’s see what happens.

Very proud of the effort!!! We play like that the rest of the way, we may not lose. Turnovers were an absolute killer, more than anything the refs did / didn't do.

Agreed. I think this LA Tech team showed me last night that they CAN beat UNT in Denton this week. UNT hasn't played anyone yet worth a dime. Not entirely their fault since Arkansas took a unexpected nosedive this season. But clearly, Tech will be the toughest opponent UNT has faced all year. By far.
Re: Best college football team in Louisiana just took a bus up north!
Well, I wouldn't brush off their win over the Hogs. They didn't just win, eek out a 1 pointer, they crushed 'em 44-17. They crushed SMU 46-23, who just got Sonny's first win over Navy. They smashed their FCS opponent, IW, 58-16, and clobbered Liberty 47-7, who smashed ODU 52-10, who beat Vah Tech! The SMU game has been their closest game thus far.
Yeah, I think we're better than anyone they have played thus far, but not by much, especially Arkansas who had "one of those days."
But, nah, UNT is not in the same league as LSU, so if we show up! I like our chances. Now, what UNT does have is a gamer QB. And that matters a lot.

They didn't win by much tonight, but they won. I stand by my post!

Very proud of the Dawgs tonight in Denton, TX. UNT had a packed house of 30,106 hostile fans. And our Dawgs BRUNG IT!!

I'm jealous of what UNT has done with promotions to bring up attendance. Our people are in over their heads

They have never had a start to the season like this. If we had beat lsu, we would see our numbers jump, as well. A good indicator is what will their next home attendance be like after last night.

Maybe 21K for us next week. Our leaders are killing student attendance and our game day atmosphere

They need to work on the end-around defense and wrapping up the RB. It's hard to rate the DB's since they were playing against the best QB in the CUSA last night. The most frustrating thing was how UNT kept getting out of 3rd and long over and over, especially in the fourth quarter.

The winning and Dallas part may have something to do with it too.
