Any talk of doing away with the electoral college is bull malarky. We don't want California and New York deciding every election.
Re: 2016 Election Results
Personally, I wish the state legislatures still decided the presidential elections. The president should serve at the whim of the states.
Re: 2016 Election Results
I will give Killary credit for one thing....
...she had enough sense to CANCEL the celebratory fireworks display last night!

Didn't say do away with the EC. But, since you brought it up, making it a simple popular vote WOULD render the big states like Cal and NY irrelevant. Every vote would count as much as any other.
Re: 2016 Election Results
How about proportional EC votes based on popular vote? For example, Florida has 29. Last night it would have been 15 to Trump and 14 to Clinton.

There are Muslim-Americans, Mexican-Americans and, blacks that are scared this morning. The media made Trump into a monster. Good opportunity to expose the propaganda and prove they are lying.
Stop using those terms, there are no real hyphenated Americans, you are either an american or not. We are supposed to be a melting pot and it cannot be as long as these Hyphenated terms are used and tolerated. Those people that want to make America great again, Become an AMERICAN, it is not a bad word.
The media and Democrats who have played the largest part in dividing this country helped coin those terms, it is time to make them go away, don't be afraid, simply stop using the term. i.e....You cannot be a Mexican-American unless you hold dual citizenship somehow, you are either still a citizen of Mexico and a Mexican or a Citizen of the US and an American, it is that simple.
Not Chastising you T1, just making a point, I am really trolling the board today looking for all of those who were rubbing it our face that Killary had already won. Some of them are strangely absent.
Re: 2016 Election Results
I only used those terms because we have Mexican (not American) living in our country illegally and Muslim refugees who may have ISIS or other terrorists mixed in with them who want to do us harm. Those are the people Trump is concerned about... not the legals / non-terrorists. Democrats blur the lines on legal/illegal and peaceful Muslims/extremist Muslims and pretend Trump is against all forms of Mexicans and all forms of Muslims.

He has some fence mending to do with Hispanics. The false "killers and rapist" mantra hurt him, but not surpising that that was never quoted in proper context. Even FOX enjoyed bashing him among Hispanics.
Did you notice how well he did with the Cuban vote?
"Fence mending" is a clever choice of words!:)
Re: 2016 Election Results
Wow. Clinton is passive-aggressive as hell and continuing to dig at Trump and everyone that voted for him.

Yes I get your point, just do not like seeing the term used at all, it is one or the other, you cannot be both. That's part of taking this country back, having people decide what they want to be, American or Mexican/african/hispanic/etc.
Re: 2016 Election Results
No winner For Alaska, Arizona, Michigan, and New Hampshire. Alaska, Arizona, and Michigan leaning Trump. New Hampshire leaning Clinton. Doesn't really matter.

Clinton won the popular vote by just under 200,000. The count will change, but overall she won that.
Re: 2016 Election Results
Ammo prices are dropping (if anyone cares).
No Surprise.

Personally, I think he was mainly talking about the Cartels, but wasn't specific enough.
