And McConathy runs one of the most fast-paced offenses in history. NWST's 8-point 1st half was the fewest points any DI school has scored in a half since 2004. The game before that NWST let a non-scholarship DIII program beat them by 15 points. NWST is arguably the worst DI team in the country, at least without their 7th year senior.
SMU just beat #2 Arizona today 66-60. Like I said.....I don't think some of you guys realize just how good SMU is now.

But! NSU beat ulm 76-61 in Monroe. So, how bad are the chickenhawks!? :shocked2:

Not taking anything away from SMU, I'm sure they are good. But, Arizona is always over-rated!

Arizona went 0-3 in Atlantis, and SMU went 1-2 in Atlantis with losses to two directional schools from inferior conferences.
But this was never about SMU who we know is good. It was about how historically bad NWST was like getting blown out by a non-scholarship DIII program and setting multiple record lows against SMU like fewest points in NWST's DI history and fewest points in a half by any DI team in 13 years.

I just wish our schedule would set us up to play teams like Arizona when they are overrated. We always seem to get the name schools when they are having their best years in basketball and football. No way to know, but it always seems to happen.

NWST just lost to LSUS, the Demons’ 2nd non-DI loss this season.
LSUS played the game as an exhibition so the Pilots don’t officially get credit for the win.

I don't know what has happened to Opie's program. I do know he's gotten desperate just to have some kids with a pulse on his bench. He has a former football player, an offensive tackle, on his roster just to get a big body out there. Opie is a good basketball coach, and a good recruiter. I know last year they suffered a rash of injuries, and maybe some of those were career-enders.
I know you, Dawg06, hate NSU and love to relish in any bad news about 'em. Your irrational hatred is an issue you have to deal with. And yes! more than you know, NSU has issues! I don't mean their Men's Basketball either. Because, Opie is good people and a good basketball coach. He'll bounce back, as will NSU's MBB.

What?? I don't hate NWST. They are even more irrelevant than NLULM. I just thought it was funny they lost to LSUS and pointing out how historically bad their program is, which was kinda what this thread turned into. Per KenPom, this is the 2nd worst NWST team since the website began with the 2001-02 season. Only 2015-16 was worse for the Demons thus far.

If they were as irrelevant as you say, you wouldn't even bring their name up. You have a dislike for McConathy that you don't mask very well and take most any opportunity to show it. Sure, everyone has a right to voice their opinion, but please don't think that most of us don't see through it.

 You are 100% wrong.
