Another golden opportunity missed

My daughter and I attended a movie night at the TAC this evening. Heard about it last night. Movie and free popcorn and family fun time with Champ. We were 2 of probably 50-70 people there. The only reason we went is because a friend told us about it. Why wasn’t there a flyer handed to every grade school student within 20 miles on their first day of school? Was it advertised on radio? Hoping we can go to fan day tomorrow and meet some of our athletes. Glad my wife saw a random Facebook post or we wouldn’t have known about that either.

Thank you you for being a diligent fan and supporter of our university.

It was tweeted. That's really all you need to do to reach the the important people.

Not so sure Tweeting is as effective as it was a couple years ago.

Put it on Facebook if you want moms to see it.

Put it on the Insta if you want students to see it.

Put it on all those venues and attendance isn’t much better......

People will come if they want to come.

Union Board regularly does movies at the stadium every year either in fall or spring. Follow them on any platform and you’ll probably see news of one soon.

Last fall they showed Avengers: Infinity War in the Joe the Tuesday before classes started. There was a pretty good crowd. I’d be surprised if they didn’t show Avengers: Endgame this year if they were putting on another movie night.

Where's this "Jumbotron"?

We did know about it, and got an email because my son had the kids package last year. It wasn't something to drive to Ruston for us though. If we lived there we probably would have attended.
