Re: It’s time. What will it cost?
I don't consider the UAB game to be a WTF game. First, UAB is better than us. Not 3 TDs better, but better. They have a mature, experienced team...yes, just two years after being restarted. They are considerably better in the trenches. But, the most important thing is coaching. Clark and his staff out-coached Holtz and his, from preparation to management to adjustments...which UAB never had to worry about because their original game plan worked for the full 60 minutes.
I wish this had been a WTF game! That would be easier to explain and deal with going forward. Instead the truth is, UAB is simply better, top to bottom. Holtz is in his 6th year at what everyone calls a "stable" program, and UAB is just two years removed from NOT EXISTING!
But, to hell with UAB and the rest of CUSA, Louisiana Tech Football has a problem. We need to focus on our own house.

Well GREAT, that means we have 2 WTF games left then...

I, for one, have never and will never wear purple and piss, no matter the fervor of my fandom. I guess a better description would be that I grow to understand more each year what I can do and what I can’t do for our athletics. I don’t go to bed or wake up mad when we lose the way I used to. I get upset, and express my frustration here, but I don’t take it out on family by being a fuddy dud when we lose.
Re: It’s time. What will it cost?
Just a random thought. Holtz has never been the head coach of a team longer than 5 years, until now. He has either taken a "better job" or gotten himself fired. We are in uncharted waters.

Holtz is definitely in uncharted waters. He found successful waters and then dropped his compass overboard.

Report from the ground here. I did not evacuate. I'm about 20 miles inland.
Destin fared well, trees down mostly. Santa Rosa Beach area lost power due to even more trees down. Panama City Beach still has power out and lots of trees down, and the head honchos are telling people not to come back just yet. Heading east into Panama City it starts getting worse; roofs, trees, widespread power outages. East from there, Tyndall AFB has a lot of damage, and little ol Mexico Beach is just leveled. Even inland, Chipley, Marianna, and the little towns NE of Panama City caught it pretty hard. This was mainly a wind hurricane. I don't even remember hearing thunder.

Good deal. I have not listened to any sports news today. Any college games in the path cancelled for Saturday?

Tommy needs to go also. Clean house, top to bottom.
Most will remember the situation at USM a few years back when they hired a new coach who lost all games his first season. They were able to cover his buyout, over $2mil, by manipulating their schedule. They had Nebraska set as a home game but instead of playing it in Hattiesburg agreed to move it to Nebraska who paid them a cool two million which they used to send that coach on his way. I looked over our situation and cant see any arrangement we could make like that thus everyone needs to get accustomed to where we are at unless some donor or donors ponies up the money, we just dont have it.

This situation would never be allowed to occur, because 1) TMac can't get good opponents here and 2) if he lucked into something, he'd let them charge *us* to move it.

That's about as accurate as it gets

Wrong again. I haven't embraced anything. So stop. Yeah, overreacting just like some folks did when we played well against LSU. Many folks get too high and too low from 1 game to the next. That is my point.

Can you name three positive things about our football team?

Succinctly honest. I needed the chuckle.
