Craft has signed with NFL -- we had 2 guys sign and they both "offset" each other ... being best back does not mean only back, especially when both are banged up. Craft represented us well over years, he was coming to Tech games and sat with Russdog while in middle school .. he played hard for Tech and did his job ... I respect Holtz for letting him play 1 play to start game senior day --he was hurt but deserved the respect...
1. It's not disrepectful to Craft to think Scott was better and deserved more carries. And great that Craft loves Tech and always has, but what does that have to do with Boston Scott's workload? Nothing. Scott should've been the feature back wayyy sooner, and that was obvious to even the casual fan.
2. Do you think all politicians are smarter than all voters? Do you question politicians or do you just trust that they know what's best bc they are the politician? Unless you are a sheep, I doubt you believe that. So why are coaches, in this case Skippy, not allowed to be questioned? Holtz is a good coach and we are lucky to have him at Tech, but like most coaches, his coaching can cause you to scratch your head at times. There's nothing wrong with fans discussing coaching flaws. Don't get so bent out of shape every time someone challenges "Coach"
Re: NFL Summary for LA Tech Players
If Craft was better than Scott, Sean Payton would have drafted him. I stated, emphatically, that Scott should have been our go-to guy after Dixon left. Payton just slammed the stamp of "you were right D80" all over it. Period.
I like Jared Craft and wish him all the best. Fact is he's too slow. I hope he makes the Steelers' or any team's roster. But, it's a long shot.
Some folks paint themselves into a corner, with their "coach is always right, and everyone else is stupid and should just shut up" nonsense.

....now you've heard Dawg65 say over and over again that the Tech coaches are to simply be trusted. Tech fans shall not dare question Holtz's talent evaluations. Never mind that the NO Saints coaches agree with most of us instead of Holtz. ;)

After the chip shot FG's I saw Barnes miss (and get blocked) in 2017, he'll be very lucky to even get a tryout. The UAB debacle still haunts me.

Don't forget Marcus Colston, I think he was like the 4th pick from the end in the 2006 draft!
Re: NFL Summary for LA Tech Players
It looks like the Craft signing a UDFA contract with the Steelers and Outlaw signing UDFA to Colts were both fake news.
Neither were listed by those respective teams on the official UDFA lists released today. Both guys are likely only rookie mini-camp invitees.
I thought the Craft news was fishy the whole time because that fake news didn't break until the day after.
Secdrick Cooper's signing was published by the Falcons.

Can't be true. Our S&C guy (aka Chuck Norris) would be all over this...

Of course you do. You thought HCSH did well to go 6-6.

He was probably out fishing. I heard his love of the hunting and fishing around Ruston is why he stays at Tech despite being one of the best in the business.

I saw last season. We were lucky to get to 6-6.

Don't be naive. We had 76 injuries.
Re: NFL Summary for LA Tech Players
Looks like the Saints brought in Jonathan Barnes for a tryout at rookie mini camp. He doesn't have a chance in heck to make the team. But I hope they bring him to camp as a second kicker and maybe he can get noticed by another team.
