Is Grambling Under Siege?
This is the attitude we face in this state. No examples of why he feels this way, just stated as fact. Disagree? You must be a hater.
Louisiana is blessed to have tremendous HBCUs that have and continue to play an essential role in providing leadership to the state and the nation. So when Grambling is weakened, it should concern all Louisianans, regardless of race.

I hope I was right when I understood him to mean they would/should be declaring war against themselves. If I was right, this is the only thing that will fix the problems.

Always an excuse for failure...
Re: Is Grambling Under Siege?
Here are a couple of posts from Dr. Kimbrough regarding the UL System search for a new President at Grambling State University.
In a nutshell, he is asking why the UL System hasn't committed resources online for making sure a good president is selected at Grambling State University as compared to the search for a new president at Northwestern State University in 2014. Basically, NW State had detailed information about the university, the process of selecting the new president, members of the committee, and qualifications for the job. The Grambling search page has little information by comparison.

Re: Is Grambling Under Siege?
From his bio online:
"A native of Atlanta, Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough was his high school salutatorian and student body president in 1985, and went on to earn degrees from the University of Georgia, Miami University in Ohio, and a doctorate in higher education from Georgia State University. He has enjoyed a fulfilling career in student affairs, serving at Emory University, Georgia State University, Old Dominion University, and finally Albany State University in 2000 where he became the Vice President for Student Affairs at the age of 32. In October of 2004, at the age of 37, he was named the 12th president of Philander Smith College. In 2012 he became the 7th president of Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana."

He provided his own answer in the guest editorial at the top of this thread. They already know who they want. Just like they knew they wanted Savoie at UL-Lafayette and Bruno at ULM.

"In fact, it is a declaration of war."
That's not a fact. It's a metaphor.

I don't keep up with the goings on in Lafayette, but I know that the last to choices for the nlulm job came from the state level not the local level.
Everybody involved with Tech, except LFR, wanted Guice as the LaTech president.
Re: Is Grambling Under Siege?
So is it a civil war? Because most of their damage is self-inflicted due to their horrible accounting/audit results.

I do believe ULM's current president Bruno was the last of the choices that the UL-Monroe faculty had wanted during the last search.
