It reminds me of Jim Croce, he played at Tech on a Thursday night, then played at Northwestern on Saturday and died in a plane crash on his way to his next gig.
A concert I will never forget.
American Pie was about Buddy Holly, if there was a Southern Pie it would surely be about Ronnie Van Zant. Truly an original and powerful artist.
