Figured there would be some 25th
anniversary discussion of MTV - back when they actually played videos....
Kids today don't know what they are missing....
Early Duran Duran, Adam Ant, The Cars, Pat Benatar, Brian Adams....
U2, The Fixx, Midnight Oil, Concrete Blonde, The Clash....
Rush, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Ozzy, REO Speedwagon, The Motels, The Tubes....
Good stuff -

"Video killed the radio star"
Does anyone play videos anymore? Do they even make music videos still?
I wonder what stars we have now that never would have made it without their videos?
The big MJ did quite a few "epic" videos back in the day. Would he have been so big without them?
Re: Figured there would be some 25th
Not an MJ fan - but THRILLER was a killer album and the 6 singles off of their had very good videos...
Re: Figured there would be some 25th

JJ Jackson wasn't it?
Re: Figured there would be some 25th
That's right. JJ Jackson. I think he died recently.

Fuse is very quickly taking over the music television market. MTV has turned itself into a silly station that concentrates on whoring up and dumbing down this nation's youth.
Re: Figured there would be some 25th
VH1 Classic was replaying the MTV's first 24 hours yesterday. I flipped past it a couple of times ... saw Blondie and Queen.
Bitchin'
Re: Figured there would be some 25th

She's good. Apparently sometime around when she told Tommy Lee "one word, google" CBS made/asked her to shut down her web site. Something about her site being to revealing.
