Baseball. Bulldogs Set to Host Houston Baptist in Weekend Series

The Louisiana Tech baseball team will return to the friendly confines of J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park for its final non-conference weekend set of 2018. Tech will welcome Houston Baptist to Ruston, for the first matchup between the two programs since 2009.

A win, but sloppy. Great pitching once again. More base running/coaching errors and a very costly defensive error on what should have been a routine 3rd out.

At work and didn’t get to go. What happened? I hope we get this under control, because at some point the starting pitching has got to cool off.

It's like our 3rd base coach thinks nobody on the other team has an arm or knows how to play the game. We have gotten put out at 3rd or home with less than two outs at least 5 times this year on ground balls to short or 3rd (not on hit and runs). It happened again last night and cost us a run. Thankfully true freshman Taylor Young was heads up two plays last night and saved us at least one run. Probably two. The problem with base running is a coaching problem. He did the same thing last year and came out of the gate doing it this year.
