What our admin claimed was not true. They claimed that the NWST game was 3rd most attended home game in Tech history and that the Southern game was 2nd most attended home game in Tech history. Both claims were 100% false.

According to that list, they are both true. Independence Stadium is not a home game. Ruston is home, Shreveport is not.

You're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. :)

Other than Grambling, NSU games, and bowl games, all games we've played in Shreveport were home games.

I have not read every press release, but most I've read said, "...a record 7 home games at Joe Aillet..."

Normally I would consider a "home" game in which you spend the night before at home in your own bed, eat at home (or home training table) and have your regular schedule, etc. COYSH, however, likes to take his team to a hotel (Monroe or West Monroe) the night before games in Ruston. I don't see the Shreveport games as being any different for the players. For the travel staff, equipment etc, yes.

Where exactly are you in the east side chaos? I generally am around the South 40 to maybe toward the 45 a little, at the top of that lower section. Great view of the game from there.

With the exceptions listed by md excluded, our games in Shreveport are home games.

Just like Arkansas games in War Memorial.

Tech has played 15 games in Shreveport with greater attendance than the record at JAS.
- 5 Tech home games (Miami, Texas A&M, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Baylor)
- 9 neutral site games (6 State Fair Games vs. NWST, 3 Independence Bowls)
- 1 road game against Grambling

Its just unreasonable to count as a home game, especially for attendance purposes. It's two separate stadiums with different capacities in two separate towns.

I hear them say "At the Joe" more than the general at home anyway.
