The next governor of Louisiana
Will be Jon Bell Edwards if he and Vitter get in a run off. If somehow Angelle can get by Vitter and face Edwards in the run off, Angelle will win. Just heard results from a poll...Angelle is gaining, I just don't think it will be enough to get past Vitter.

What poll is this?
Re: The next governor of Louisiana
Turn-out will be very low as apathy is at an all-time high. That bodes badly for JBE

I think it will be lowest turnout for a gubernatorial election in my lifetime.

Yes, but not because it has been a race with the fewest commercials.:bomb:
I've decided that any of the candidates will be limited by the corrupt and cowardly legislature we have. Unless one of them can actually lead...
Don't believe any of them could be worse than my last two winners...Mike Foster and Bobby Jindal.
Not allowing Medicaid expansion will be Jindal's positive legacy, but one of these guys not named Vitter will likely allow it and increase the state's budget by BILLIONS more.

Is there anything more recent than this? http://www.nola.com/politics/index.s...edicaid_e.html
I'm not sure Vitter, even if he could be trusted (which he can't), will refuse expansion.

Re: The next governor of Louisiana
Sounds like it is Edwards and Diaper Boy. It will be like having to choose between ULM and LSU.
Re: The next governor of Louisiana
This is a pick your poison kind of deal...I think. I live 6 miles north of the Louisiana border, but travel through the state every day. I just don't trust Vitter, he seems like a gutless man. not showing up to the debates and all. Edwards is a Westpoint graduate, pro gun, pro life....he is in bed with the unions, which I loathe. Plus, he already said he is going to expand Medicaid if elected. I have talked to many people that didn't vote for either of those Saturday. Some said they weren't going to vote in the runoff and others said they just couldn't vote for Vitter, a few said they would vote for Vitter b/c he isn't a democrat. It will be interesting. If I had to bet today, I bet Edwards wins with about 52%.

Edwards is a proud Democrat. He will turn on the conservatives who elect him in a heart beat.
Vitter is a conservative. Period.
Compare the voting records. If you vote Edwards, you are picking your liberal poison.

Doubt it, Vitter has been re-elected twice since the prostitution scandal, Republicans aren't mad enough to turn on him.

I expect he will ask them not to show just like Landrieu did with Obama. Edwards has this thing won IMO. He just needs to sit back and let the media continue to destroy Vitter with old information.
Re: The next governor of Louisiana
This 'choice" is disgusting.

I hope you are wrong. Edwards will continue the downward spiral Jindal started. Taxes will be through the roof and no industry or business of any kind will want to come here. There is hope to repair some of the damage Jindal did regarding education if Vitter is elected. I think we are royally screwed if it is Edwards.
