So, are the lefts elitists of anti-elites? It seems like the story keeps changing.
The particular stereotype for hate/fear mongering is not relevant. The fact that you blame a certain group, a disempowered group specifically, is where the potential for persecution arises.
During Hitler's rise to power there were numerous political parties, but the four biggest and most influential were the National Socialists, the Communists, the Social Democrats, and the Catholic Center Party, also known as the Christian Democratic Union. President Hindenburg, who was ultra-conservative and feared what the "rabble" might vote for, tried to orchestrate the formation of a new government, one where the Center Party would hold a plurality in parliament. This was 1931. It backfired, and the Nazis gained seats, as did the Communists. Then Hindenburg tried to convince the Social Democrats and the Communists to work together and block vote to thwart the Nazis. Together they held enough seats to lock the Nazis out of key positions. That didn't happen either, and in the next round of elections, Hitler's Nazis gained even more seats.
Hindenburg then played his last card. He tried to appease Hitler by naming him chancellor, while Hindenburg retained the more powerful position of president. Hindenburg thought he could control Hitler by "inviting" him in to his inner-circle. It did work....for about 8 months...but by then the Nazis were struggling financially. Hitler had authorized his operatives to borrow money liberally. Hitler later confided in an American newspaper reporter, "If we win, we won't have to pay back the loans. If we lose, I'm leaving Germany, and certainly won't pay back the loans." But, banks stopped loaning money to the deadbeat Nazis, who had failed to make any payments, and Hitler's political future was in jeopardy. Just prior to the 1933 parliamentary elections, the Nazis set the Reichstag Building on fire and blamed the commies. Many were arrested and were absent for a key vote.
Trying to save their own tenuous hold on their own seats, the Social Democrats agreed to support the Nazis in exchange for some guarantees, and that was the effective end of the Communist Party in Germany at that time. One year later Hitler was elected president of Germany. But, instead of appointing a chancellor, from another political party, as was the recent tradition, Hitler combined the two positions into one: Fuhrer ("leader").
Nothing says that you believe in the Rule of Law like saying that you could take over an investigation involving yourself if you wanted to. #underminingAmericanvaluesonetweetatatime
If only you had the self reflection to know your hypocrisy on the matter. I have already denounced them and you cannot find where I have defend their ideology. You give them much more credit and associated power than they actually have because you need a straw man to burn.
So we learned today that Trump directed Cohen to break the law to help him win the election.
Also, big day for the Mueller investigation taking down 2 of Trump’s scumbag acquaintances.
ALSO BREAKING: Trump calls guy who is found guilting of massive tax fraud “a good man”. Only in Trump’s world.
Latinos fleeing violence in their homeland to find refuge in the US, on the other hand, are lawbreakers plain and simple and the law should be enforced strictly against them.
And if Trump were not President he would have likely been indicted today too. Let’s see if the Republicans will do their job now.
Honestly I don't give a F anymore.. The whole damn thing is a sham... Anyone remotely paying attention knows that the DOJ and FBI under Obama treated Hillary and anyone remotely associated with her completely differently than anyone associated with Trump. Amnesty was handed out like candy at Halloween to anyone and everyone. DOJ did everything they could to protect the woman and candidate who they thought was going to be the next POTUS. I have 4-5 very good friends who are in FBI. Each have about 17-19 years in with the Bureau. Everyone has commented that they can't wait to get in their 20 so they can retire and get out. They all say that the Bureau is not what it was when they joined. While they will not admit all of the conspiracy theories about Strozk, Mueller, etc. they have said that not everything you read is true, but there is some truth in what you read. To quote one " There is definitely a stinch in Washington".
This is why people are so pissed off. There is definitely a double standard when it comes to justice and there should not be. People should be held to the same standard, and it is obvious that is not the case.
They didn’t protect HIllary. They investigated her twice, and publicly advertised the fact, at a very unfortunate time for her political aspirations.
