I guess the art of the deal is more marketing than actual deal making. POTUSDJT can't even cut a deal with "his own party".

It could not have been fixed by anybody. Agreeing to take more from the working class is not fixing it, but that's what the democrats and cowardly McCain think we should do.

Most business people think he is a joke. He is a marketer and real estate investor. Marketing helps you get elected, but he is a one trick pony when it comes to business. In real estate you get to pick your and choose who you negotiate with. His skills only work on the less sophisticated.
Re: Whatcha think Pawdawg: ACA replacement
Unfortunately in the international diplomacy arena, Trump is one of the least sophisticated.

So why is McCain turning his back on all of the promises he made to his constituents and publicly giving the thumbs down to bills he supported while Obama was president, but now sides with Chuck Schumer who has already said he will not consider repeal or replace?
Make no sense, and will result in a single payor system. Republicans have not yet figured out how to govern. Dems employ an incrementalist approach and steadily move the ball down the field. Republicans are not happy unless they get a touchdown on every play.
Schumer is full of shit. He knows it, but he also knows there are too many people out there, like Goosey, who are SO STUPID they believe anything/everything they are spoon fed by the libtards and CNN.
Fact: obummercare is EXACTLY as its been. The Repubs have NOT changed a thing. No, Chuckie-boy, you and democraps OWN this broken system.
It is amazing you have morons out there who will hear:
1. the Repubs have failed to pass any legislation re: obummercare, see the 'craps celebrate the FACT obummercare has not been changed.
2. see jerks like Schumer claim the Repubs have "broken it"
yet! not be able to connect the two opposing concepts.
And we wonder why this great nation is in deep doo-doo.....
Re: Whatcha think Pawdawg: ACA replacement
Interesting that Republicans have had all this time to come up with a replacement option, yet nada.

The DC Establishment Repubs couldn't organize a bar-b-cue.
Doesn't change the fact that it is the 'craps that OWN the broken HC system.
Re: Whatcha think Pawdawg: ACA replacement
What are the numbers? How many people have gained health insurance who didn't have it before? How many were priced out of the market?

He will not be an issue long. Hopefully his replacement will be worth something and have a backbone.

Be careful with what number you get.. There are many people out there who gained health insurance who didn't have it before because they were FORCED to get it. They didn't want it. When you hear people state that millions will lose insurance.. what they don't tell you is how many who are losing it did not want it to start with.

They are also including all medicaid recipients in states that accepted medicaid expansion. That was part of the deal our Governor made with Obama to help him get elected. Those people were fully covered before Obamacare. Then a group of them were discriminated against due to income levels too high for medicaid, but to low for an Obamacare subsidy. The only way they could get coverage was the state accepting the expansion. Now they get free coverage just like they did before Obamacare. FWIW, they also got free coverage before the medicaid expansion in all states with a charity hospital system. As of now, that coverage is much better than most Americans can afford.
Re: Whatcha think Pawdawg: ACA replacement
So, you can't get a straight answer to any of this. Par for the course.
