It was 2004. Hottest game I've ever been to.

You must've missed 2002 v. Tulsa

I thought it hit 109 vs MVSU....
But once it hits a 100+ what’s a few degrees one way or another -

Oh and we ran out of water and ice with only 14k announced in attendance....

109F? Felt like 120F! I just remember the Shreveport TV station, probably Channel 3, saying it hit 102F that day. Maybe in S'port but it was hotter in Ruston.

LA Tech's season opener against MVSU back in 2000 = Hottest game temperatures and worst humidity EVER! And JAS ran out of water. Dawgs won 63-10 before 18,565 fans.

Sorry...I posted that last post before I even read the others talking about the same game. Clearly, a lot of people agree that the MVSU game might have been the hottest game ever.

I can't think of one that tops it for pure heat and not a breath of wind...

Speaking of 2:30 kickoff, hot weather and running out of water . . . do you think we can get Mac's grocery stores over here in West Monroe as the hydration sponsor, since we are tied at the bank vault with Pepsi.
Here's why:
Mac's 24-bottle case of hydration sells every day for $2.50, which computes to 10.42 cents apiece. Can you imagine how much the FANS would save if the water was sold at $1 each instead of the normal PEPSI brand at $2 or $3 each?
I bet Super1 would make an even better deal.
Better yet, bring your own canteen of water and be a conserving type.
That's all.

Several years ago (2009?) I tried bringing my own water and the guard at the gate wouldn't let me bring it in.

Your proposal is way over the head of our decision maker. That's assuming Pepsi is not paying him directly to "do the smart thing".

Yeah, was living in Austin then and didn't make the drive.
