Here is yet another column that seems relevant (this time from a conservative news source, albeit one that is highly critical of Trump). The most relevant piece in particular addresses your theory about COVID as a plot to overturn the election, but the whole thing is worth reading.

They've got a good fact check section, too.

Get the facts on the fraud. Go to Newsmax TV. Your posts all read like they came from CNN and the New York Times. Wake up before it's too late.

I literally listed 10 different sources.
If dozens of news agencies report one thing, and just the one reports something else. . . I mean it's possible that there is a massive cover-up going on and some amazing ground-breaking investigative journalism going on. I'm sure that could happen. But the facts ought to be the same everywhere. Is Newsmax reporting that the court cases are going well? Because if they are, that's easy to check - you can read the actual results (directly if you don't trust the institutional reporting, even if it's just quoting judgements).
Why is it that you think Newsmax has the inside scoop here? Is it because of their journalistic credentials? Their history of being correct when others were factually incorrect? Their successful predictions? Their compelling, well-reasoned arguments that have been born out in reality? Or is there maybe some other reason I haven't thought of (or have)?

Because confirmation bias is more addictive than heroin.

They're reporting the truth. Didn't you use to live in China?

Japan.
And I guess we'll see about some of the verifiable claims. My concern is that the claims have had a tendency to shift as they're debunked, so that's a never-ending game of whack-a-mole. But as far as "Trump will win any day now because of this proof or that procedural objection" I mean - we'll see the end of that game.
But if it doesn't happen, I am a little concerned that instead of "whelp, we were wrong about that one, let's look at the factors leading to the loss and plan around doing better next time" places like OAN and Newsmax will just double down and change the argument to "we were robbed and should have won but didn't because of <insert new conspiracy here>. And of course, even if they do acknowledge Biden's win (as it sounds like a few have sort of done) then I'm concerned they'll be tossed to the side like Fox News and some other "news" organization will pop up to take their place.

UPDATE: Justice Alito has just moved response deadline up from Wednesday at 4pm to Tuesday at 9am on @MikeKellyPA emergency application seeking to have #SCOTUS declare that PA mail-in ballot system adopted by legislature violated the state constitution.

In strict theory, the U.S. Supreme Court has no jurisdiction to settle Pennsylvania constitutional issues, such as whether the state statute at question (Act 77) violates the state constitution. Generally, such matters are the exclusive realm of a state supreme court. But there are exceptions to that general concept, Kelly argues, including here. Because the state is acting under a “direct grant of authority” from the U.S. Constitution to manage federal elections, the U.S. Supreme Court can become involved, he argues, and can determine whether the Pennsylvania statutory and constitutional regime of laws violates the U.S. Constitution.
It’s big news because it means this suit is not MOOT and that Tuesday will hold a LOT of headlines on the outcome, or potential lack of outcome, from the 2020 Presidential election.
quote:
You see, all disputes about electors are required to be settled six days prior to the date when the electoral college will meet to cast their state’s votes for President. That’s the 14th, which makes Tuesday the 8th the safe harbor deadline. So in other words, with a response time that extended to the 9th, they could safely ignore Kelly’s lawsuit until it was too late to overturn anything. Well now that’s changed. It’s now Tuesday. Which is HUGE.
Supreme Court just wanted to send a signal rather than wait out the clock.

My wife and I moved to Tyler about a year ago to be closer to our son who lives in Irving. I do miss going to those HS playoffs in LR. About a month before we moved, my urologist told me I needed a biopsy on my prostate. I put that off til we got to Tyler and had it done in Tyler and found out I had hi-grade cancer. I spent 9 weeks beginning in March driving back and forth to the Willis Knighton Proton Center in Shreveport for a total of 44 treatments. Had my last PSA test in September and it was .008. I've been to one HS game since I've been here, Carthage vs Kilgore. Looks like Carthage is going to win another state championship, which would be their 8th in 15 years. They have an outstanding QB and RB. I'd like to go to those state championships in Arlington, but, I doubt if I will. What HS did you go to? What did you do in Japan?

Don,
Sounds like the treatment worked. That’s great news. I went through the exact same thing 6 years ago and had my treatments at WK also.

I'm glad the treatments have worked! Are you still riding your bike? Wasn't that a thing you posted about in the past?
I went to Sylvan Hills. When I was in school we were one of the smallest schools in the highest division (only went to 4A back then). Now I think they're in 5A where they're one of the bigger schools at that level, but they've cycled up and down through the years.
I saw that the 7A top 4 were all Central Arkansas schools this year which is a (welcome) change. Conway/Cabot/NLR/Bryant. No love lost between me and those first three.
In Japan I worked for the Southern Baptist Mission board as what they call a "journeyman" missionary (really just a short term position of about 2 years).

Did you do the proton treatment? Seems like I read something about it being installed around 2014.

Yes, my treatment was in Jan-Feb 15. I had surgery in late Sept 14.
I remember my doctor telling me it was a new machine.

I’m just north of Bullard (last 4 1/2 years) after moving to Tyler in 1982. We need to “grab a bean” together for lunch if not before the holidays then afterward.
