Where's Scelfo??

This Offensive genious is just offensive. He called a terrible game tonight. I hope that there is a press release stating that he didn't make the trip to Fresno due to a wedding or something, because I am NOT impressed.

30 rushes, 56 pass plays, 7 sacks

Defense is shutting out Fresno; we've ran the ball good all first half and we go:
pass (incomplete)
pass (incomplete)
pass (finally complete)
pass (incomplete)
run (Jackson gets 7 yards)
pass (incomplete)
punt

That is TERRIBLE playcalling with our offense.

At halftime we have 5 yards a carry, and we run ONE run play coming out of the half. IF SOMETHING ISN'T WORKING, STOP TRYING TO FORCE IT!!!! :bomb: JUST RUN THE DAMN BALL!!! :furious3:

I am kind of worried about Scelfo. We gone from having no defense to having no offense. Props to Spangler and thumbs all the way down for Scelfo.

Gotta have the players...right now, we don't got em. That said, the draw on 3rd and 15 was pure Bicknell...

This offense has NO killer instinct. They don't know how to finish a game. They don't know how to score in the red-zone. All we can do is run the ball and once they figure out that Keagle kicks with more accuracy than Champion throws, all they have to do is stack the box and they've mastered our offense. It's pretty sad.

Well, when your QB throws the ball at our WR's feet it's kinda hard to get anything going. Zac is the problem, not the play calling.

We have the lead at halftime and in the second half we ran for 6 yards!! Hell 13 came from Zac on the scramble out of the pocket.

Wake up, we don't have the personnel to pass it 50 times a game right now. We have 4 RB's that can all be starters. Get their asses out on the field or sign their releases immediatly when they ask to transfer.

We didn't run very well tonight either I didn't think. I think everyone knows now we have no passing game, we are depending on the running game and so everyone and his brother knows what they have to do to stop us. And that is a scary prospect for the rest of this year. I think somebody has scared the bejesus out of Zac Champion. I've said this before, but he has gone SO far in the opposite direction of what he was doing last year. He's paralyzed. And when he makes a good throw we don't have anybody that can catch it apparently. It's going to be another long long long year apparently. I'm really disappointed. :(

The play calling is going to be bad when you have a qb afraid to throw an interception and doesn't have the skills to throw receptions without some interceptions. Why do you think they won't let Mosley in the game to throw the longer balls. He has a good arm from what I've heard but also throws interceptions more than Champion. Remember Coach Dooley's number one stat for winning, turnover margin. We need to open it up a little and risk a few interceptions.

Agreed. Zac looks pathetic when he throws the ball. I've never seen any player so scared of contact in my life. So much for the Ole Miss trip....

Because they (Fresno) made halftime adjustments stacked the box, sold out aginst the run and dared us to throw it. .....And we still couldn't complete a pass. Fresno's SS was playing up like a LB and we could not take advantage. I don't think we were going to get many yards rushing the second half against that defense.

Get ready, because I think we are going to see the rest of our opponents sell out against the run as well after they get a hold of this film.

But, fear not, I do feel better with who is in charge. He's smart enough to do that. I think Fresno got film and knew from that and the first half that passing isn't our forte any more. I believe we've got coaches who've already showed they can develop a great game plan working within our large weaknesses. It wasn't there tonight, but I believe we'll see some adjustments for the lack of a passing game. Perhaps we'll have to put in some trick plays or something for this year and work exceptionally hard to recruit a great QB or two for next year.

I remember at the recruiting luncheon this year Dooley was asked about QB's for this year...he said we had plenty of QB's. :icon_wink: I don't know about everybody else but I felt a twinge of anxiety when he said that. I knew Zac's penchant for interceptions, but I had no idea he was going to go in this direction. I have to trust Dooley will get us what we need...and there's Ross Jenkins that everyone seems to think has potential. Where is he? Redshirt? And our Auburn transfer. So there is hope. Truly.

We ran for 95 yards in the first half!! We ran the fine to start the game. They made the adjustments and we played right into their adjustments. NOBODY will fear any plays of over 10 yards against us.

And we lined up in the shotgun EVERY passing play. NO PLAY ACTION, NO INTENTION OF RUNNING THE BALL AT ALL. The one running play we had WITH 8 IN THE BOX, Jackson STILL got 7 YARDS!!! :bomb:

We finally have a 3rd and 3, and we throw another pass. Just plain stoopid.

I have a feeling he is not on our team this year. If he was - I think we would have already seen him out there. There was nothing to keep them from putting him in.
