    Re: NCAA Regionals Thread

I've bragged on Robertson's competitive fire but when that lead off hitter for Coastal stole second and stood up and brushed off his shirt with sanctimonious ire, I think everybody knew he was going...

Me too! That said, I'm pulling for UCSB to win it all--not only are they a non-P5 but they finished 3rd in a conference that Fullerton won.

    Re: NCAA Regionals Thread

Fair point. Allow me to revise my rooting interests to extend to all non-P5 progams.

    Re: NCAA Regionals Thread

I tend towards rooting for teams from G5 conferences. Mostly because it shows that just because the P5 conferences seek to promote the separation myth and limit access to championships from less...

That was ridiculous. I found it odd that nobody ever mentioned his dad at all.

I admire his competitive fire. Guys that play like that can make me tune into games I don't normally care about. I think I've watched 5 LSU games this year just to see him play.

LSU flexed their muscles in that game. Really nice outing by Poche. The Robertson kid is kinda awesome.

    Re: NCAA Regionals Thread

If Rice can somehow beat LSU twice in a row, I think they could win in Raleigh. I think CUSA has represented fairly well in the tournament thus far but that would certainly help in terms of...

    Re: NCAA Regionals Thread

I'm very happy with what we accomplished, but it was a tough draw. I think we have a good enough team to win the Oxford or Lafayette regional.

Now that it's over.. Dang! Miss State is GOOD! It won't shock me if they win it all. Why couldn't we have been sent to Oxford? :((

    Re: NCAA Regionals Thread

I heard they wanted more rest in between games (especially since they weren't sure how they would fare against SEMO's ace). Well, they got their rest and now whoever they play will have double duty.

Mississippi State brass has to be grinning ear-to-ear. The winner of this game gets a lunch break and then has to play them after they've been laid up for a day and half.
