Yeah, it blows, but we live in a sound-byte society...that doesn't bode well for RP.

Re: How about some Ron Paul love?

I think Guiss or Rand hit it right on the nose earlier. What makes RP unelectable is the fact that he does a poor job of getting his message out in a sound-byte. At first hearing, RPs ideas sound...

Re: How about some Ron Paul love?

Most of the democrats in my family (extended and otherwise) would vote for Paul over Hillary. And, I can't think of one died in the wool republican that would choose Hillary over Paul, though quite...

It's far more than that IMO. Of course, when I think of college town, I think of Natchitoches or Ruston.

    Hey rand,

Austin's got it fair share of democrats. Is there a strong following for Paul in that area? Think he'd get many cross-overs?

No need for that my tipsy friend. Tone/intent is a difficult thing to grasp on a message board...much less when your one, two, or even three sheets to the wind.

It's certainly possible, but I'm not holding my breath. The Bible has a great characterization of our culture IMO. 2 Timothy 4:3-4:

Re: How about some Ron Paul love?

You're smarter than that Spinzona. Most of the swapped seats went to VERY conservative democrats who certainly didn't run on a "cut and run" ticket. That's some pretty quick revisionist...

Don't shoot the messenger Spin. I like the guy and I appreciate his values. Because of them, I doubt he'll get on the ballot in 2008. It's sad, but it's true. Politicians pander and "trade honor...

His refusal to play the political game and temper his comments, while refreshing, will spell his downfall. He won't crack the top 3.

I'm pretty sure the republicans will carry your state easily. Hillary has the most conservative war policy of the democratic front-runners and is more "stay the course" than that of Ron Paul.
