  1. Whatcha Think? Re: Is Gramblings big Accomplishment really that big?

I'll ignore your 'fake news source' mention. I think StrayDawg provided the supporting facts that I was implying. That being said, rebounding from a mutiny to best in class in three years deserves...
  2. Whatcha Think? Re: Is Gramblings big Accomplishment really that big?

I would encourage you to do some deeper research into why that is so. It's not a fluke as to why there are more Pro Football Hall of Famers from Grambling than schools such as LSU, Texas A&M, us.....
  3. Whatcha Think? Re: Is Gramblings big Accomplishment really that big?

Grambling did give Arizona quite the tussle earlier this season IJS.

    Re: Coaching carousel 2016-17 version

If you believe the papers out here, Baylor is high on Sonny D. This will cause a dilemma in the house, since the better half graduated from there and actually watches Baylor football. I can't in...

Re: Indy Bowl still on life support?

I tend to agree. Gives them a sort of 'social status' in the city. They could do a smaller scale kick-off game with an in-state school or even target the bowl itself to give the best in-state...

Re: Indy Bowl still on life support?

The board does need to go, but if the bowl dies, I see it going the way of the Captains, never to come back again......sadly.

    Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel

Ruffin McNeill would be an excellent hire for UNT or dare I say ULM. Seriously doubt ULM has the wallet to even come close to what he was making at ECU, though. I hope he can bounce back quickly.

    Re: 2015 Coaching Carousel

Me thinks the academic regulations of a public Ivy don't mesh well with Sonny D's recruiting strategy.

    Re: Tech's Bowl Game

No, I am not a season ticket holder. I did go to 2 games in Ruston, even sat through homecoming.

    Re: Tech's Bowl Game

So what I'm seeing is that the elitist(s) think the sky is falling due to one stinker. The realists understand that extra practices will help our 2016 bunch become a more cohesive unit. I live in...

Re: Arizona Bowl Official per ESPN

When a market has 3 bowls (4 if you count FCS title game.....and 5 last yr due to the title game), you could have a legit conversation.

  15. ElWagonne's complaints about the FWAA 75th anniversary team...

First, let's say congrats to Mr. Roaf for making the list. However, I have a few complaints about the list, which are in no particular order:

    1) I guess they just forgot about the HBCU's
    2)...

Soap Box: Re: Where is Pat Tilley??

I was implying that Johnson should be on the list before Troy & Josh. He's about even with Tilley, who should be somewhere in the 20.

Soap Box: Re: Where is Pat Tilley??

Several names were missed on the list. For example, Gary 'Big Hands' Johnson....97 sacks, 2x All Pro. Trumps Booty, Tilley, Edwards and a few others.
  18. Re: The Times: Top 20 Shreveport-Bossier Athletes

Always assumed top five would include some combination of Bradshaw, Belle, Parish and Sutton. Forgot about Joe Ferguson (possibly b/c of how he flaked on my high school's head football job way back...
  19. Re: Thoughts on IK Enemkpali sucker punching Geno Smith and getting fired

Coach called it a sucker punch, hence the title. However, seriously, since my dad used to tell me the best lesson is a bought lesson, I hope IK can maybe catch on in the CFL and re-build his image.

  22. Re: M. Basketball. C-USA Basketball Championships Return to Birmingham

Frisco would be perfect, especially if they could do it in Jerry's new dome he's building in Frisco. Women can play in Dr. Pepper Arena. Plenty of dining and hotel rooms within a 10-minute circle. ...

  24. Just In: Re: Someone Has Finally Listened - Southern Univeristy Coming to Ruston in 2015

I prefer the term 'Dinner Table 5'. They make all the decisions, only hand out crumbs to everyone else and rarely ever accept new members that weren't originally a part of the crew.
