    I was told the plan is to replace it during the new stadium construction to begin as soon as the season ends.

    Pretty sure time spent working on the field during the season (other than game days) counts against practice time for players doing the work.

    I assume it is about cost, maintenance, and weather situations. Tradition can be expensive, but not always practical. Thanks to those who paid for this!
