    Cocktails (mostly) and the occasional Belgian beer. Gueuzes and other sours, quads, tripels, saisons, trapists. But I am game for anything my tailgate homeys bring. They have good taste.

    I will try any beer of that style, but Tripel Karmeliet and Gouden Carolus Tripel (both from Belgium) are mind-blowingly amazing. The Trappists also make Tripels and you can usually find Chimay...

    The Tripels and Quads I brought back have more alky, and therefore more body than any of the drinks you brought back. But we should do a comparison to be sure. :)

    Westvleteren 12 is the best beer (per beeradvocate and ratebeer). It is an ale. As is Turbodog. "Skunky" is a weird adjective to describe craft brews, and I cannot see how you can possibly say...

    Drinking a Rochefort 10 in my hotel room in Bruges - 11% abv and aged in scotch barrels. I swear, you can't spit without hitting an excellent beer around here.

    In Belgium now. Focusing mainly on Belgian beers I have not seem in the states. Grimbergen brun, Maes Pils, and Morte Subite framboise were all pretty god, but no better than Kasteel Brun, Pilsner...

    They make a high gravity version of that beer that is not available in Houston called "Raison d'Extra" and it also awesome.
