Yeah, it blows, but we live in a sound-byte society...that doesn't bode well for RP.
I think Guiss or Rand hit it right on the nose earlier. What makes RP unelectable is the fact that he does a poor job of getting his message out in a sound-byte. At first hearing, RPs ideas sound...

Who wouldn't vote for him?
This one is pretty funny...

He knows it's a slippery slope...:icon_wink:
It's a pot-legalization themed show...:D
Most of the democrats in my family (extended and otherwise) would vote for Paul over Hillary. And, I can't think of one died in the wool republican that would choose Hillary over Paul, though quite...
"It's only in medicine that technology has raised prices..."
Good stuff.
It's far more than that IMO. Of course, when I think of college town, I think of Natchitoches or Ruston.
Hey rand,
Austin's got it fair share of democrats. Is there a strong following for Paul in that area? Think he'd get many cross-overs?
No need for that my tipsy friend. Tone/intent is a difficult thing to grasp on a message board...much less when your one, two, or even three sheets to the wind.
:D
And, in all likelyhood, they would've stayed there had Howard Dean not gone all Ape-feces nuts on national TV...that will kill you in our sound-byte generation. The closest to that you'll get from...
...can't take a joke. :D
If Bill Maher likes Ron Paul, that's the biggest strike against him in my book.
It's certainly possible, but I'm not holding my breath. The Bible has a great characterization of our culture IMO. 2 Timothy 4:3-4:
For the time will come when they will not endure sound...
You're smarter than that Spinzona. Most of the swapped seats went to VERY conservative democrats who certainly didn't run on a "cut and run" ticket. That's some pretty quick revisionist...
Don't shoot the messenger Spin. I like the guy and I appreciate his values. Because of them, I doubt he'll get on the ballot in 2008. It's sad, but it's true. Politicians pander and "trade honor...
Whoever her opponents is will wear her out in that area.
Look, I hope he does well. I'm FAR more likely to vote for him than Rudy G or ANY of the democrats (because he's got the right view about the sanctity of human life). I just don't see him as being...
His refusal to play the political game and temper his comments, while refreshing, will spell his downfall. He won't crack the top 3.
I'm pretty sure the republicans will carry your state easily. Hillary has the most conservative war policy of the democratic front-runners and is more "stay the course" than that of Ron Paul.
She's the least likable candidate on either side (and that's saying a LOT). She'll lose more democrats (ones that would vote for Edwards or Richardson...or even Obama) than she'll gain...
Hillary won't take ANY red-state that GW won last time. I hope she gets the nomination...even McCain could beat her.
