Federico is Burroughs newest surprising but then again not so surprising hire. He likes older guys who are recently unaccomplished and who seemingly don’t know how the new era of college baseball is...
Careful, we’re not supposed to point out or remind people about Burroughs bad decision making. All that matters is that Burroughs has his favorites and that regardless of if they can play or not...
#4 Auburn SEC is eliminated at home. That’s another of the greatly favored elites shown up and put out. Now it’s down to only Arkansas, LSU & Tennessee. What was 13 is now a measly 3.
Tech has hired a new sports announcer so hopefully that part of the fan experience will improve 🤞🏻😊.
It’s very interesting that this year’s #2 SS, Smith is leaving. It’s true that he didn’t get to play much behind the All American (not) Safford. To me that’s more evidence of either inept recruiting...
Comeaux tapped out as soon as the season ended. He might’ve even not unpacked after the return home from the tournament.
Haha. I’ve got a “ton” more Tech and sports athleticism and history in my little finger than you’ve got in your whole body. I’ll leave it at that. Enjoy your mediocrity landscape. It’s where you...
Only 4 of the highly overrated SEC teams remain going into the super regionals with 2 of them having to play each other. Hopefully only the 1 that wins that head to head will make it to Omaha. As...
I’m not going to invest that much time. Listen to Burroughs talk about team and you’ll hear what I hear. None of that has anything to do with his poor decision making regarding game strategy or who...
#10 Ole Miss (scumbags) join the rest of the outed SEC losers, haha. Next up, hopefully, LSU (currently down 5-1).
4 more over rated SEC teams on the chopping block this evening with Oklahoma being the first one to lose and be eliminated. Hopefully there will be 3 more to join them.
I don’t hate Burroughs. I actually like his psychology of team unity and resolve. I just don’t think he’s a good enough program manager to have Tech be the best it can be.
SEC= Bama, #1 Vandy, #7 Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Ms St & #2 Texas all eliminated and there are still some regionals to play. Clearly the SEC is way overrated and gets too much favoritism.
DBU was surprisingly disappointing.
I’d love to watch the movie of it.
Says who about not playing at SS? It’s also not all about fielding the position as it is contributing to the offense. Safford made the average play and then some on occasion but his contribution at...
Evidently Comeaux couldn’t get away from Burroughs quick enough. The underachieving season was barely over when he announced that he was leaving for what will undoubtedly be a much better situation....
As predicted… Burroughs runs off a player with potential after playing Safford all season. I wonder who else will be included in leaving Burroughs’ sinking ship....
Simply a losing record in conference would likely put Tech below 30 wins. From the looks of the conference some other programs are getting increasingly better which means we’ll be worse. Remember too...
Burroughs has always mismanaged his teams and always will. It’s in his nature. Whether it’s players, assistant coaches, situational baseball or game scheduling… it’s all the same thing, fundamental...
Following up on this, like I’ve said for years now, if Tech is ever going to take their program to the next level, actually winning an NCAA regional and going further Burroughs is going to have to...
Sad but true. 2025 is in the record book. It just wasn’t to be.
And Houston might transfer out since he hasn’t gotten much playing time even in midweek games. Houston might even be the better defensive catcher. We just didn’t see him enough to know.
I’m saying no matter what you pretty much can’t play those guys because they haven’t played for so long. You almost can’t even pinch hit them. At this point regardless of who might be slumping you...
From here on is typically when the Dawgs’ fatigue starts to show up. Burroughs limited capable alternates are pretty much nonexistent; Houston, Comeaux, and Patterson have probably all become rusty...
