Right. The way it works is, all the young QB's get the snaps in preseason games, because the coaches are trying to decide who to keep and cut, etc... The coaches already know what veteran QB's like...
He didn't get to play much. And when he did play, it was to "run out the clock" in mop-up duty, hence all the run carries.
I think Driskel could get picked up again by another team in week 2 or 3. Backup QB's often see new opportunities after Week 1 due to injuries, etc...
There's a good chance Watson ends up checking into the Graybar Hotel.
Good summary, Historian. So, the Lady Techsters --including the Lady Techster coaches-- had at least 2 income sources "on the side", that the men didn't have access to, and that weren't included in...
And as usual, you are wrong. You make broad statements without any proof or facts. Furthermore, I don't think there's any question in anyone's mind on THIS board that you have a long, deep seeded,...
Yes it did. It didn't take a lot of money to run the Lady Techsters. This wasn't the Los Angeles Lakers, and Leon Barmore never made much money. What do you think they spent so much money one? As...
Yes they did. At one time, the Lady Techsters had a season ticket base of around 3.5K-4K. At that same time, our FOOTBALL team only had a season ticket base of about 5K. Mens basketball was nothing.
No they weren't. Great point. The Lady Techsters actually made small amounts of money --and drew big crowds-- for about 2 decades. The men never have.
For the Lady Techsters, the turning point...
...and there's no doubt that she could coach a football game better than Holtz does too.
I'm glad to see this. The bigger field might be to Dixon's advantage.
Some of you north Louisiana guys are just as lazy as your local media. I don't know why I would be surprised by that.

How many tackles did Turner have last season??
Brittle bunch.
I took a lot of heat for saying the same thing. I thought he should have stayed in school. As many are finding out, it's tough to make your mark in the NFL, regardless of where you are drafted....
Well, I sure wish we had him back. But it's too late now.
That won't cut it. What the hell is wrong with him?
Kinda surprised about the comments regarding Carlos Henderson. As a 3rd round pick, he shouldn't be relegated to sitting on the pine behind Isaiah McKenzie, a 5-8, 164 lb fly weight, who was taken in...
Wow. Wonder what's up with Patton. I hope he can catch a ride with somebody. I didn't like him going to the Jets anyway.
That's outstanding. Congrats to Turner. Only the Eagles could be stupid enough to leave Turner on practice squad for half the season and not realize he should have been playing all along. This is why...
Quinton Patton, Trash Talker?

Houston Bates is making his mark as a special teams specialist. He played in 10 games this year --mostly on special teams. He had 9 tackles, including a safety. Here's a neat little story about how he...
If he doesn't know who Mike Barber was, I agree that that would be pretty bad...... Very bad. Geeez....
Nice! I always told you guys that Myles White could play in the NFL. This is awesome.....especially since I don't like the 'Aints...:icon_razz:
