  1. Re: YOU are the coach's coach. What constructive advice would you give to Holtz?

When all Holtz can say positively is "he didn't put the ball in harm's way" in recapping a game, that's a problem. I agree, I want to start talking about good plays rather than non-bad plays. This...
  2. Re: YOU are the coach's coach. What constructive advice would you give to Holtz?

I think you design more runs for him (not rpo's) and tell him don't slide and pick up a few yards.
  3. Re: YOU are the coach's coach. What constructive advice would you give to Holtz?

It's not like we've never seen J'mar play good. The question is, what makes J'mar play good? I honestly think he's an enigma to his own self. Rattay was waiting for him to figure it out, but maybe he...
  4. Re: LA Tech Picked Third in the West in C-USA Preseason Poll - latechsports.com

You're right. The ranking is directly correlated to how they assess J'Mar. Hopefully, Holtz AND Smith recognize the slight. The consensus is that J'Mar simply isn't reliable enough to win a...
  5. Re: No Imposter, Cooper is the Real (Hall of Fame) Deal

I have not heard of anyone but that doesn't mean much.
  6. Re: No Imposter, Cooper is the Real (Hall of Fame) Deal

Is it just me or are yall getting the sense that Lonnie might be back at Tech in some sort of coaching capacity before long?
  7. Just In: Re: Anthony Duruji & Ra'Shawn Langston are transferring

It should be noted that LaTech isn't quite the school it was back in the TJE era. More than a couple of those guys probably couldn't get/stay eligible nowadays. I have personally talked to a few who...
  8. Just In: Re: Anthony Duruji

Definitely could see Duriji ending up at Seton Hall. Bracey probably couldn't reinvent himself somewhere else at this point. Barker got implicated in the crap at TCU right?
  9. Just In: Re: Anthony Duruji

Duruji is a major loss imo. Somebody was in his ear, no doubt.
  10. Question: Re: Should Tech play in a Buy In Post Season Tourney

How would this help us for next season? I'm open to opinions but I don't see it as of now.

FAU: Re: 3/13 vs. FAU (at Frisco, TX)

His plan worked about as good as mine do when I leave one line to get in a "faster" lane at the grocery store. People who weren't even in line end up beating me out the door.

FAU: Re: 3/13 vs. FAU (at Frisco, TX)

Well, Stapleton did sorta shoot the game winner for Tech with that last pull. Really stupid and the ball wouldn't lie for him on the bail out free throws and the ill-fated put back.

    Re: Hosting UNT Feb 23

I'm thinking more about what he's attempting to establish in terms of style of play. It has begun to take shape. I can see rhyme and reason to how they are being instructed.

    I would enjoy seeing...

    Re: Hosting UNT Feb 23

Konkol's coaching performance defies absolute criticisms. He's certainly not a bust but he also hasn't proven an ability to keep his team from strings of bad losses. I think I do sense some stability...

    Re: Hosting UNT Feb 23

I think we are the team nobody wants to draw in the tournament. We can beat any of them.

    Re: Hosting UNT Feb 23

I agree with Dwayne regarding the chemistry of this team. Konkol was more assertive with the referees yesterday, bordered on getting a technical. I think it put a different tone and energy in our...

Garrett Hable is a walkon from Benton. Not sure if he gets a look at qb, but he's a player.

    Re: 2/9 mbb @ usm

I thought we played pretty good today all things considered. Won't fault the effort but our margin of error is extremely low on the road, and we exceeded it.

It's all about positioning for making a run at the conference tournament. Konkol can best do that by not losing games we have no business losing. If you see that your players struggle winning at the...

    Re: FIU

You're probably right. I'm overreacting to Archibald's hesitancy to pull the damn trigger on open shots all over the floor. What the heck are your playing the dang 2 if you can't shoot? Crazy to me.

Somebody should be salivating for the zone like FIU was. We scored in transition in the first half and they made us play to our deficiencies in the second. And deficient we were....

I thought we did that at times but threw up air balls on the kick out. I mean, they weren't even hitting anything attached to the goal.

    Re: FIU

I flipped over to watch the last part of UTSA and Marshall. UTSA has grit. They overcame a crazy last seconds game-tying bucket to win in OT. They weren't fazed. We get fazed easily on the road.
