Re: 9/20 FIU Game (Red Out)

I find myself putting a lot of emphasis on this game. We're home, it's a Red-Out, we're at the 3rd game and should be finding ourselves by now as a team. FIU is a game I think we should win...

Sticky: Re: 2019-2020 Dunkin' Dawgs Schedule

    MTE??? Minimally Tempting Event?
  3. Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception

I used to lose my voice after nearly every home game yelling for the Dawgs. Didn't happen at all last year or at the Grambling game this year. I hope we get on track and start showing some offense...
  4. Re: Tech at Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College on Feb

Would love to make this game but there's no way. Hope we rip 'em a new one!

Re: JC Love Field to Remain in Same Location

Just short of 5 months I believe. Maybe we'll hear some details soon. Not going to hold my breath waiting, just want to know what we're looking at for new facilities. Particularly baseball.

    Re: He gone

Just curious, when to the ladies start fall practice? (I'm so uninformed on women's softball, I assume they do fall practice.)

Hate that I missed Coach Montgomery's tenure but when the day comes I...
  7. Re: LA Tech Survives Second Half Scare - latechsports.com

Jmar topping 7,000 yards as QB is the same as saying if you live long enough you'll make it 100 years old. If you stick around long enough, it's going to happen.

    Re: He gone

Mark Montgomery was THE best coach on campus. Really hate to see him leave, but I get it.

Re: Tickets Sold for GSU game

You need to check it out, sharky. Friends & family who used it last year said it's the way to go if you can't park close.
  10. Re: Declining attendance is the rule, not the exception

Take out the aluminum bleachers. If we ever need to expand, we could bowl in the lower level seats around the north end zone and tie in with the video board.

    Re: A Simple Question

Mrs TD had a problem at the last afternoon early season home game that got so hot. That was her last game like that! She'll come & tailgate but she won't go in the stadium and may end up going home...

    Re: A Simple Question

We live in an era where we let schools out because we "think" it might snow because of liability concerns. So I'm waiting for someone to get sick in the stands from the heat and sue a college, its...

Re: What are you reading currently?

Just started Daniel Silva's "The Other Woman". Believe it is the 18th of the Gabriel Allon series. Highly recommend the series to lovers of the spy novel genre. Silva does a great job with...

Re: Rutgers Univ sues Ruston High

Met a guy today that is a Rutgers alum. We discussed schools a bit and I brought up the tornado & Ruston High "R" thing.

He couldn't believe his school took a high school to task on the logo. He...

    Question: Re: Season tickets?

They arrived today. Nice looking product. Was a little surprised to see the tickets in a bound booklet instead of ticket sheets like basketball. First time since maybe 2006 that I haven't bought at...

    Re: Announcement

Every small, rural parish in the state would benefit from going to parish-wide government instead of separate parish and town governments, if that's what you're talking about. Savings in personnel...

    Re: Announcement

Not that I'll ever run for office (I won't) but that's why I registered "No Party" a couple of years ago. After being in the Republican party since I was 18.

    Good luck to you!

Re: JC Love Field to Remain in Same Location

Pretty sure the last two versions of the master plan show Stadium Blvd closed and the entrance to the athletic complex moves to the north property line. Haven't gone back to look but I think I...

Re: JC Love Field to Remain in Same Location

The dimensions of our playing field were grandfathered in and don't meet the newer criteria. And with our current seating capacity, I think the NCAA would have a tendency to award a hosting...

Re: JC Love Field to Remain in Same Location

Given what we've been building for educational and athletic facilities for the last several years, I can't see us building a new ballpark that won't be first rate. And large enough to meet NCAA"s...

  25. Re: Bulldogs Add Transfer Forward Andrew Gordon

Somewhat true, but you can't deny his ability to block shots. And to very successfully drive home a lob to the basket. I'd take him back in a heartbeat over anyone we've had at that position since...
