It's going to be an office building, but I don't recall what. Apparently the owner had wished to retire for some time and someone made the right offer.

I heard Little Pizzoli's (formerly Monjuni's) is closed or closing and that a bar & grill is going in that location. Anybody have information?
Oh, okay. I had no idea about the ownership changes. Not sure why, but I've never cared much for McAlister's (anywhere). I'm a big fan of Newk's.
PawDawg, are you talking about McAlister's on campus? Or is there another one.
And HD, Newk's in Ruston is already doing great--you should try it!
Don't need one, there's a forum for that.
Choudawg's request wasn't to allow "old folks and kids" to use the Lambright, it was to provide alumni a perk that non-alumni don't have. The Lambright is replete with children and non-students,...
I stopped there 10 days ago and they said "about 2 weeks." The opening should be imminent.
They didn't leave; they upgraded. The new Holiday Inn Express & Suites is across the interstate, near the Tractor Supply store.
I love them both, but I have to say--that sentence made me LOL. Because it's so true!
It's good. Generally pretty busy at lunch and the evenings seem to stay busy enough to keep it open. Also has a nice bar.
Although I never expected a fine dining establishment to make it here, I...
Same in Ruston! :D
So far, every pizza I've gotten from the Johnny's on Kentucky is undercooked and limp. Disappointing, particularly because I can only order from there for delivery.

Geno's has some items for sale, but it's not behind a deli. It is behind the Mohawk Tavern's parking lot. It's at 704 Louisville Ave., so about 7 blocks from the Ouachita River.
Not a rumor...discussed here before. See here:

Early December. In the meantime, try Geno's (behind the Mohawk off Louisville) or Genusa's.(Park Avenue behind Forsythe Park).
Cory's other place, Cotton, is thriving. Different food, but a similar upscale concept. Surely you have not forgotten there are enough pretentious folks in North Monroe to make something like that....
Love Iron Cactus! It's run by two guys who worked for years at Ernesto's in Monroe. Similar, and some same, (rice!) recipes, but without the grunge. Ant the grown-up green icees are great--the frozen...
"High end" or "high end compared to the others in Ruston?" :D
So, it's open in Ruston? Good news!
As in Whole Foods with capital letters? Pshaw! We can dream! :D
I have heard rumor of Mac's Fresh Market, but that ain't no Whole Foods.
Haven't heard, but that sounds about right. Seems the only things people want to put in Ruston are things we already have (e.g., Mexican, Italian).
