Y'all always gotta drag Bernice up into this stuff. Bless 'em.

That area of town is where the majority of Ruston's re$$idential growth is occurring, and bringing a brand new medical facility to that part of town should be a smart move, imo.
Always enjoyed eating Bojangles when I visited North Carolina. Good service, great chicken, biscuits always fresh and off the chain.
I'm actually excited to have them going head-to-head with...
Sure you aren't thinking of El Jarrito?
Good news for Ruston! For some reason, though, I had always thought that would be a perfect spot for a DoubleTree or Hilton Garden Inn, putting it just north of campus/I-20. Agree about the...
Always great to have our successful alumni return to invest in DogPatch. Or maybe he's just preparing to send his and Katy's 19 chirrens to Tech and give them someplace to work.
Weyerhaeuser has announced consolidation of their's and Plum Creek's operations in north Louisiana, bringing the regional office to Ruston.

Still hoping that we can snag a Hilton Garden Inn or a Doubletree near The University at some point.
HAHA! Amen to that!
We go there frequently and still say they have the best "gourmet" burgers in the area. Frodo's Patty melt: pepper jack cheese, grilled onions, 2 strips of crispy bacon, the Dawg House's own...
The older I get the more this pops in my mind. HAHA!
Right on, Jelli. 5 Guys doesn't hold a candle to The Dawg House, and shouldn't even be offered up as something Ruston should envy.
Dude. Some of us HAD CHURCH up in here over Whataburger coming to town.
Peanut buckets made it, and is next door to Whataburger on the north I-20 frontage road.
Chasing a rabbit for a second...so okay...it was called the STAC when i was a student at LaTech. Do you or anyone know when they started kissing our "S" goodbye?
LOVE IT. Maybe they'll have a special on the Ruston store's menu: Order the LOLLY POLLY only at Roly Poly.
In all seriousness, I've eaten at the West Monroe location and it's really good.
Courtyard is more upscale than what we currently have, but I would have loved to see a HGI or DoubleTree in Ruston.
Ruston needs more chicken places.
No, never eaten there. The last time I was in Nuevo Laredo, I stepped over a dead body on the street. Never been back.
I think they're one of the better places for sure. I also like Fiesta Linda in Sterlington's Molcajete Laredo, served in the lava-rock bowl. I hear good things about El Sombrero on Restaurant Row...
As a Texas-ex...specifically a South Texas-ex, I am a self-anointed Mexican Food snob. There was a time a few years ago that you just couldn't find good COMIDA in North Louisiana...but thanks to the...
That's very good news if it is to be a Hilton Garden Inn.
that would be a very nice addition to Ruston. Specialty breads are very hard to come by in our area...
