    Don't look at the AAC for what it is now but what it will become after realignment. The bigger budget programs will be gone.

    Correct. All you have to do is look at Tech and NMSU's academics compared to the rest and you will see why SMU lobbied for these two.

    Actually, Houston and several others like Cincy and UConn may be gone, but ECU, Tulsa and SMU are likely in the AAC for the long haul. Their geography will really hamper their ability to move up.
