Off topic, still, but oddly nice to hear Asa Hutchinson on talk tv just now. Making a lot of sense about current events and the Republican Party.

Yep. And right approach. It was in Trump’s power and purview to do so. Why didn’t it happen? Ask a hard ass like #honore for his opinion.

Top down response. Army logistics has always been the obvious key to this. May not always be efficient, but damn certainly effective. Hooah.

    Re: Covid - 19

Nope. Things are far from hunky dory. Far. But the actions from things that fall under the Governor’s executive purview, is the least of my complaints. FEMA, couple issues.

    You saying you want...

Oh, I don’t think you ever announced the denouement of your story of the line crews waiting to do work after Laura. How’d that end up?

    Re: Covid - 19

Not going to fight that fight too much, but having major disaster paperwork completed, timely, and in POTUS’s court was a plus.

Same for the Title 32. Both for the hurricane season, but also for...

I don’t. I read the feds have turned it into a real government operation...

    It’s getting here. That’s all I know. I can’t speak to everywhere in-state.

But that’s the flip side of the coin I...

Who appointed General Pernas to Warp Speed?

Logistics could get it there. Hooah hooah.

Need an Honoré-type in charge. Not a milktoast effort as we’ve had.

Can’t make a horse think, though.

    Re: Covid - 19

The vaccines did come to us under Trump’s warp speed amazingly quickly for a host of reasons. You get credit, bad or good, for what happens on your watch.

Now, put Russell Honore in charge of...

    Weird response.

Why’d we ever have Task Force briefings in the first place?

    Re: Covid - 19

Seems like a peach of a time for one of those White House Coronavirus Task Force briefings we used to have.

Also, seems like the wartime president got bored of the war.

Mike Pence has admirablely tried, bless his heart, to do the right thing, only - like you say - to be undercut...often on Twitter. Tough position, and tough line to toe.

Right, right. Gotcha. Going and not dying isn’t a reason for a victory lap. If we let it rip tater chip with the young crowd, that still doesn’t keep others out of the hospital.
