  1. Re: Tech going forward in the Name/Image/Likeness (NIL) era as well as The Portal

It’s a booster club that launders the money to get past NCAA rules.
  2. Re: Bulldogs Close Out 2022 Season by Hosting UAB on Senior Day - latechsports.com

    Thoughts on the year…..

Offense- OL was serviceable, have some quality receivers, RB’s run hard and we have more than one. QB play was terrible after McNeil was injured. We have to do something in...

i think that was the DB’s he trucked. LB’s were cowering in fear.
  4. Re: Bulldogs Close Out 2022 Season by Hosting UAB on Senior Day - latechsports.com

We need some LB’s too. Ours run themselves out of the play on almost every play.Maybe they are hiding from McBride.
  5. Re: Bulldogs Close Out 2022 Season by Hosting UAB on Senior Day - latechsports.com

If we just had an FBS quality QB, with at least one year of experience.

    Re: New media deal

How many current Tech students were alive to watch any of the people mentioned play sports? Surely Tech has some more recent success stories.

    Re: New media deal

Yep, it could help draw a few more students. Some WAC games were during the week and had good attendance.

Re: What will it take to drive game attendance up?

When you are short on talent, sometimes you have to play the most athletic even if they have bad habits until you have some time to change the culture. We are short on talent across the board and...

Re: McNeil is back this week

Give Liddy the chance. See what you have. No reason to save a redshirt year for a player that might leave if Cumbie recruits a a better QB. Many of todays players don’t like competition.

Re: What will it take to drive game attendance up?

Yes, games being streamed doesn’t help attendance. Especially when the stadium doesn’t have much energy. It is certainly cheaper and tailgating at the house is a lot less work.

Re: What will it take to drive game attendance up?

Yes, disparaging an opposing viewpoint always moves things forward! Adversity is a good thing as long as opposing view points can work together. The current buzzword is “teamwork”. I haven’t seen...

Re: What will it take to drive game attendance up?

The dirt all over the asphalt is a nice touch! Surely, one of the official “supporters” of Tech athletics has a street sweeper or a worker that could blow off the parking lot.

Ruston has a good variety of fast food chains, Mexican, and a few local joints. The local joints need to update their menu’s/ choices. Ruston doesn’t have much for fine dining or good fresh seafood.

  25. Re: Bulldogs Travel South for Showdown with Jaguars - latechsports.com

How so? Holtz left a bare cupboard and more than a few discipline problems. I mean the “rockstar” left his team in the lurch. Cumbie should turn around a shitty culture in less than a year?
